ADAM ANDERSON

He was born on the 14th May 1984.

He’s from Manchester.

One of his previous jobs was being an ice cream man.

As part of their record deal, Adam received a Fox umbrella.

He gets his haircut from some Moroccan fellas in Manchester.

His style icon is his dead grandad. Adam says “he had great smelling shoes, wore waistcoats and had seven monkeys”.

His granddad was also a wartime entertainer. He played banjo for the Queen.

Adam filmed the greyhound races at Bellevue dog track.

His dad was a milkman in Hazel Grove for thirty years.

His favourite football team is Manchester United.

The first record he bought was “Dangerous” by Michael Jackson.

THEO HUTCHCRAFT

He was born on the 30th August 1986.

He’s from North Yorkshire.

Before Hurts, one of his previous jobs was selling windows.

He asked for a comb and a suit as part of their record deal. The comb is from Jermyn Street tailors.

Sporting Waves is the pomade Theo uses.

He said he’s “desperate to be old and look like David Lynch”.

In his opinion, the best book of all time is American Psycho.

He got the necklace he wears the day after they signed their record deal.

During the first Hurts sessions Theo was touring with British Super-bikes, working backstage.

As a kid, he travelled and his family owned a caravan. They spent some time in Australia, some time in the middle-east.

The first record he bought was “The Slim Shady EP” by Eminem.

COMMON FACTS

Anderson and Hutchcraft met outside a Mancunian nightclub just before Christmas 2005. Their friends were having a punch-up and the two of them got talking about music. Over the subsequent year they communicated only via the internet from their homes in Salford and Longsight.

Happiness was recorded in the Sunshine Dance Studios in Manchester.

They discovered Richard during a performance of Pirates Of Penzance.

They did karaoke with Jackie Chan in Japan.

The tailors they attend, is run by a Lithuanian group of women. It’s called Stitches.

When they flew to Verona, they stayed in the home of an amateur Soprano.

They both agree that “Purple Rain” by Prince is one of the best albums of music history.

I forgot to mention I did this post because someone asked me to share some details, facts of their lives. I gathered those I found more interesting, even though the most of them aren’t related to their music, but to their lives…hope anybody got annoyed with these (random) facts. If so, my apologies. :S
